Preschool
Our preschool room is similar to a kindergarten classroom. There is a circle rug for our group activities and circle times. There are different centers important to your child's learning. These include a literature area, a kitchen area, and a block playing area. Centers you may see when you walk in include fine motor skills where children are tracing, writing, and coloring; science area with magnifying glasses, scales, objects to observe; math center which may include sorting objects, putting objects in order according to size, patterning puzzles, number activities and more. We have a stimulating and challenging curriculum based on the CT Preschool assessment framework and our room, manipulatives, and activities help your child meet these standards.
Our preschool program is based on the Connecticut Preschool Assessment Framework, developmentally appropriate practices, and the five areas of development. Our unique curriculum prepares your child for Kindergarten, instills a life long love of learning, and engages your child to learn in a stimulating environment.

Our curriculum is developed with intention and purpose in order for your child to have the optimum learning experience. Our program takes advantage of those teachable moments that spontaneously arise as your child learns something new.

Children in our preschool program learn letter recognition, phonemic awareness, name recognition, number recognition, counting, math skills, literature experiences, language facilitation, science, history and more.

Our four-year old program also includes learning to read sight words, putting together sentences, and writing in proper upper and lower case letters. We proudly use the Fundations@ curriculum which provides research based materials and strategies essential to a comprehensive reading, spelling and handwriting program. Our curriculum is developed to give a solid foundation to your child as s/he enter Kindergarten. Children learn through hands on experiences, fun activities, and projects. Our curriculum teaches your child in a fun, stimulating, engaging way.
